Online Courses: A Business Parable About Teaching, Purpose, and Building a Sustainable Practice (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781807651183)

This book tells a narrative-driven exploration of how online courses can be built around teaching, purpose, and meaningful expertise rather than tactics or technical shortcuts. Framed as a business parable, it follows the experiences of a fictional protagonist as she navigates entrepreneurship, family responsibilities, financial pressure, and self-doubt while discovering how knowledge, lived experience, and service can be transformed into a sustainable teaching practice. Through story rather than instruction alone, the book examines themes such as value creation, confidence, ethical selling, and the relationship between personal growth and professional direction. The book is intended for aspiring course creators, coaches, consultants, educators, and professionals who are curious about online education but feel uncertain about where to start or whether their knowledge is sufficient to teach others. It adopts a narrative and reflective approach, using storytelling to convey business principles, mindset shifts, and practical insights about course creation, audience needs, and long-term sustainability, blending fiction with real-world lessons to make complex ideas accessible and relatable.
