Operation Nightglass: Book One of the Nightglass Series (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798188247997)

Thirty-four men went in. Three survived. The truth was never meant to come out.

August 1990. Iraq has invaded Kuwait, and the world is moving toward war.

In this fictional military-intelligence thriller, the United States assembles a covert team for a mission that will never be acknowledged. Their objective: penetrate hostile territory and gather evidence of a secret meeting between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

The operation is called Nightglass.

Captain Jonathan "Jack" Rowan is a military communications officer trained to detect what others miss and remember what powerful men would rather erase.

Before the team reaches its target, the mission is betrayed.

The orders are altered.
The route is changed.
The aircraft is sent into a missile corridor.

Most of the men vanish into the night.

Jack survives, but survival comes at a terrible cost. Severely injured and isolated in a military hospital, he is pressured to accept an official account he knows is false. His career is destroyed. His family is kept from him. His memory is treated as instability rather than testimony.

But Jack remembers enough.

He remembers the original route.
He remembers the men who boarded the aircraft.
And he remembers that someone inside the operation intended for none of them to return.

As Jack begins to uncover the truth, he realizes the conspiracy did more than conceal a failed mission. It stole the honor of men who died serving their country-heroes whose courage can never be recognized without exposing those who betrayed them.

Now the surviving witnesses are being hunted.

The secret Saddam-bin Laden meeting may have been the target.

But Nightglass was designed to fail.

And the mission is not over.

Operation Nightglass is a work of fiction and Book One of the Nightglass Series-a military-intelligence thriller of betrayal, survival, faith, family, and stolen valor.
