Opossums to the Rescue: A Same or Different Critter Story (Hardcover) (ISBN-13: 9781954322127)

Mama Opossum awakens to count her 10 sleeping babies - but wait! Eleven? That can't be right! A baby mouse has snuggled in with the joeys. She must be lost.

Young readers are invited to join the Opossum Family in their quest to find Baby Mouse's family by comparing her features to the animals they meet. Does Baby Mouse have long ears like rabbits? Strong claws like moles? A flickering tongue like a snake?

Each page is a new adventure as families and classes can discuss similarities and differences between the different animals they see. Children can also seek and find a different tiny hidden creature on each page: beetles, ladybugs, snails, fish, etc.

Opossums to the Rescue stands on its own, but is also the sequel to Mama Opossum's Misadventures, where Mama finds her missing babies with different nocturnal animals in the forest. In the end, when all of her babies are safely back home, she wakes up the next evening to discover Baby Mouse has joined her family.

Opossums to the Rescue is also available in French: Les opossums à la rescousse.

Opossum Opposites is the first book in the Awesome Opossum Stories series and is a book of nonfiction, all about the lives and habits of opossums. Opossum Opposites is available in English, French and Spanish.
