Organization and Administration of the Intermediate Department (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781025884523)

"Organization and Administration of the Intermediate Department" offers a comprehensive guide to the structural and pedagogical management of adolescent religious education within the church setting. Written by Hugh Henry Harris, this work focuses on the specific needs of the "Intermediate Department," targeting the critical developmental years of early adolescence. The text provides practical guidance for educators and church leaders on organizing classes, managing staff, and fostering a spiritual environment conducive to the growth of young congregants.

As an insightful resource for understanding the historical development of religious pedagogy, the book outlines the duties of superintendents, the selection of curricula, and the administrative frameworks necessary for a successful youth program. It emphasizes the importance of tailoring educational methods to the psychological and social transitions of teenagers. This work remains a valuable reference for those interested in the history of religious instruction and the broader evolution of Sunday School administration and Christian education in the early twentieth century.
