Welcome to the winding caves of Mount Crumplepeak, where every fold hides a secret treasure. Meet cheerful welcoming gnomes who prepare travelers for the mountain roads ahead, carved stone animals filled with symbolism and humor, eccentric inventors with impossible ideas, mysterious crystal gems, and generations of thoughtful gnomes who value curiosity and craftsmanship above all else.

This collection features 38 original origami models, each folded from a single square sheet of paper and paired with a humorous story. Filled with mountain magic, playful wisdom, and surprisingly elegant designs, Origami Mountain Gnomes & Their Secret Treasures transforms the hidden world of the gnomes into a folding journey unlike any other.

With winding passages, the traveler visits five whimsical chapters:

Welcome Gnomes of Crumplepeaak-Gnomes who welcome you with gifts for the journey.

The Seven Carved Animals-Mountain animals that are crafted by the gnomes' stones.

Gnomes High in the Mountains-Gnomes with all manner of inventions, ideas, mischief, and magic.

The Seven Stone Secrets-Crystal gems the gnomes carve with mathematical precision.

The Tumbrick Line of Gnomes-Generations of gnomes with more to show us than we ever knew.

All 38 models in this collection are designed to be as simple as possible for their level of detail and complexity. Most can be folded in 20 to 30 steps. A stegosaurus filled with plates is diagrammed in 19 steps, a detailed mountain sheep with curly horns takes only 29 steps, and the mind-boggling sunken dodecahedron requires just 35. Presenting intricate designs in surprisingly few steps is part of the magic of origami and gnome-approved.
