Harry Steven (Steve) Ackley was born and raised in Woodland, California. He is a graduate of Cabrillo College, Bethany Bible College, and San Francisco State University, where he received a master's degree in education. After a short stint as a high school English teacher, Steve changed careers and went to work as a website designer. Steve presently divides his time between San Jose and Winters, California. He enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Natasha, his three children, Cedric, Cleo, and Adrian, and his dog, Muddy Waters. Steve also plays string bass and bass guitar in various jazz and blues groups. "Our Lady of West 74th Street" is Steve's first novel.
