Author's Brief Biography: Born and raised in Mexico City (1958-1987). He studied Economics, followed by a Master of Business Administration in a program between Notre Dame University and the London Graduate School of Business. Professionally, he started as a professor and researcher in economics and finance in the Mexican banking system. He immigrated to Canada in 1987 where assisted the Ministry of Economic Development in creating a database for businesses in the service industry for the Province of British Columbia. With government and banking programs, he worked with foreign business and local investors in running a pro-active and successful business; from the start-up stage to their break-even point (under the 'turn-key-operation' concept). Carreras has extensive experience in Mexico, United States and Canada. He has travelled considerably for business and research throughout Europe and Asia as well.
