Kristie Judah Lee is an award winning poet, scientist and spiritual community leader. At the age of sixteen, she was a member of the National Championship Detroit Poetry Slam team. She went on to publish her first collection of poetry, Outcast From Within, at the age of twenty. She has lectured at schools and universities all over the world, including France, Zambia, and South Africa, promoting mathematical, scientific and creative literacy to children, adults and teachers alike. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Hampton University in 2006, majoring in Physics, minoring in Mathematics and Earth, Space and Atmospheric Sciences. She is also a published scientist and has lectured before the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and the Center for European Nuclear Research to name a few. Currently, she teaches mathematics in the Detroit inner city and is pursuing her teaching certificate to teach English as a second language in India. A prayer chaplain since 2009, her writing focuses on the nature of higher consciousness and the connection of physical and spiritual realms.
