Jonathan Muhiudeen was raised in Malaysia, where he learned to sail as an adult using information from books borrowed from the library and put to practice at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in Port Klang, Malaysia. He is one of the founders of the International Raja Muda Regatta and the author of the book "Salt in the Rainbow", as a young Malaysian to sail around the world. He is married with children and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. When he gets a chance he sails with his family. He still cooks his "No Worries Chicken curry" and drinks too many cups of tea. Jonathan rates himself as the world's worst speller, only saved by spellcheck. This disability made school life difficult, and he had to work hard to overcome this obstacle to graduate from University and become a writer. He credits his mother and his wife, with the support he needed to succeed- something that families of dyslexics should keep in mind.
