Pacific Dream: Mari Mango and the Accidental Orphanage (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798195399955)

BOOK THREE IN CHET NAIRENE'S BIG-HEARTED, EXCITING PACIFIC TRILOGY
(A collection of funny, exotic standalone novels set in Asia)

"Nairene has done it again! Laced with humor and painted in exotic tones, Pacific Dream is a clever and uplifting story about overcoming difficulties, both internal and external, in order to accomplish something for the good of others." - James Roby, award-winning author of The UrbanKnights detective series

An impulsive detour to an exotic land.
A bewildered foreigner trying to do one good thing.
And the accidental refuge that changes everything.

Marielle Margaux arrives in Bangkok with a hopeful heart and a past she's trying to outrun. Within days, her good intentions collide with reality, and she finds herself sheltering a battered young woman who has nowhere else to go.

That single act of compassion pulls Mari into a world she never expected. A forgotten coastal town. A crumbling hotel. Women and infants in desperate need of safety. And a nickname she can't escape once locals, confused by the nun-like attire she wears for economy, start calling her "Sister Mari Mango."

With no training, no resources, and no idea what she's doing, Mari improvises her way into becoming caretaker, advocate, and the unlikely leader of a growing refuge. As the chaos builds - and as a kindhearted medical student complicates her vow to stay focused - Mari discovers that doing good often means crossing lines she never imagined.

Like its predecessor stories in The Pacific Trilogy, this novel teleports the reader into an exotic, intriguing world. Warm, funny, and unexpectedly profound, Pacific Dream is the story of a woman who tries to help and stumbles into a destiny she never planned.

Uplifting, chaotic, and unexpectedly profound, Pacific Dream tells the story of a woman who tries to do good . . . and stumbles into a destiny she never planned.
