Ted Stubbersfield was born in the small town of Gatton in Queensland, Australia in 1950. It was a good time to be young when life was simple and relatively safe and faith in God was taken for granted. After being thrown out of school in 1965 he started an apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic, something he was ill suited to. In 1970 Ted went on an extended trip overseas and was confronted in many countries with the gospel and a God who was alive. That year he met with Jesus in a Damascus road type experience. Ministry seemed to be the logical call on his life and he trained initially with the Church of Christ and then in the UK with the Elim Pentecostal Church but found himself most at home with a remarkable group of Grace Baptists. The Lord had mercy on His church and Ted did not become a pastor but instead went back to the family business, a sawmill. He kept his interest in Christian doctrine by studying by correspondence and by writing. Ted has a number of other publications but in a very different field, weather exposed timber structures. He is currently working as a consultant in this field. He was completed a Master of Theology in Applied Theology in 2011 through the University of Wales.
