Paradox: The Traveler (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781731199263)

Sheriff's Detective Mark Thompson is having a hard time. His relationship with his daughter is confrontational at best, his ex-wife hates him, and he hasn't spoken to his girlfriend in over two years. Career-wise, his most pressing case involves the missing cat of a county commissioner. For Mark, this is just business as usual in the rural community of Harris, Illinois. But things heat up when a mysterious shooting victim is found in a ditch outside of Coulter Labs, a government research facility. When fingerprints reveal that the dying man is a version of Mark from the future, Mark must use his limited resources to stop a murderous madman who calls himself Traveler. But Traveler is a serial killer from the future and discovering his motives for murder in the past may be an impossible task.A backpack containing information about the future and a file detailing a government project run by his ex-girlfriend are Mark's only means to change the course of time's arrow. But will Mark be able to uncover Traveler's identity before his sixteen-year-old daughter becomes the next victim?Paradox: The Traveler is a high-stakes crime drama with science fiction elements that will keep you guessing until the very end.
