Paralyzed: Finding Love and Happiness After My Spinal Cord Injury is an inspirational story of strength of character and positivity. After Kevin C. Smith broke his neck, he didn't sit around, feeling sorry for himself. Instead, Kevin decided he was lucky he had survived. He was lucky he had the support of his family and his girlfriend, who later became his wife. He was lucky he lived in an increasingly accessible community, where he had a chance to succeed. In turn, Kevin responded to the challenge of paralysis by making a new life for himself and elevating the lives of many people he touched.
