Reverend Professor Patrick Ferdinand Ayeh-Kumi is a distinguished Professor, renowned Medical Parasitologist, Microbiologist and Laboratory Scientist, holding esteemed credentials from the University of Ghana.
Prof. Ayeh-Kumi has a rich academic history. He is a past Provost of the College of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana. Prior to his provostship appointment, he served as the Head of Microbiology, University of Ghana Medical School and Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, School of Allied Health Sciences. University of Ghana. By virtue of hard work and excellence in leadership, he was appointed as Dean of the School Allied Health Sciences, Dean, School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences and Acting Dean of the School of Public Health, of the University of Ghana.
With an illustrious academic journey, Prof. Ayeh-Kumi earned the distinction of being the first to achieve a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Ghana. He undertook part of his postgraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and the Galilee College in Israel. He is a Foundation Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS).
Proficient in his craft, Prof. Ayeh-Kumi's passion extends beyond academia. With over 30 years of dedicated teaching, mentoring, and research, he has left an indelible mark in the field of Medical Parasitology, Microbiology and Biomedical Laboratory Sciences.
Beyond academia, Prof. Ayeh-Kumi's contributions extend to numerous local and international boards and committees. He is an ordained Minister of the Adonai International Fellowship Alliance Incorporated, Sacramento, California, USA, Prof. Ayeh-Kumi embodies a blend of academic excellence and spiritual dedication. He is married to Lady Beatrice, for 35 years and they are blessed with four sons.
