Elliott Murphy, singer/songwriter and the author, has lived in Paris for over twenty-five years, releasing over thirty-five albums of original music since his debut AQUASHOW (1973) and continues to perform concerts in Europe, Japan, Canada and the USA. He is also a prolific author of fiction and poetry and has published numerous collections of short stories, most recently CAFﾉ NOTES (Hachette), as well as two novels MARTY MAY (Gallimard) and the neo-western POETIC JUSTICE (Hachette). His writing has appeared in Rolling Stone (U.S.), Vanity Fair (France) and other publications. Born in 1949 to a show business family in New York, Elliott began his career with a troubadour like odyssey in Europe in 1971, which included a bit part in Federico Fellini's film Roma. Returning to the USA he quickly secured a recording contract and international media attention followed. His 1996 album SELLING THE GOLD featured a duet with Bruce Springsteen who often invites Elliott on stage to perform with him during his European tours.
