Passengers: Tales from Deck 2 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798245019451)

Every face has a story.
Every voyage leaves a mark.

From the humming decks of an international Cruise Ship to the quiet corners where lives quietly unfold, Tales from Deck 2 is a lyrical, unfiltered journey through humanity at sea, told through the eyes of a man who has lived many lives.

Aaron Nicholls is not just a cruise ship photographer. He is a former military intelligence officer, a filmmaker trained at the prestigious New York Film Academy, a father and a witness to the invisible stories people carry with them across oceans. On Deck 2 of an international Cruise Ship, he meets honeymooners and widows, dreamers and drifters, broken hearts and brave souls all stepping aboard a ship hoping for escape, healing, or a second chance.

Through intimate portraits and quietly powerful encounters, Aaron captures more than photographs. He captures truth.

A grieving woman clinging to memory.
A mother proud of daughters who became doctors.
A man hiding behind bravado.
Crew members surviving racism, exhaustion, and secret lives below deck.
A photographer wrestling with burnout, purpose, and the pull of his true passion.

As the voyages unfold, so does Aaron's own transformation, from soldier to artist, from observer to participant, from performer of happiness to a man learning how to feel again.

This is not a glossy cruise memoir.

It is a raw, poetic, deeply human exploration of connection, loneliness, love, identity, and the quiet bravery of ordinary people, all set against the endless horizon of the sea.

If you have ever wondered what happens behind the smiles...
If you have ever felt lost in the middle of a life that looks perfect...
If you have ever searched for meaning between departures and arrivals...

These are your stories too.

Welcome aboard.
These are the Passengers.
