My name is Mario but I'm known as Bucketdog. I'm twenty-five years old from Cantonment Fl. I'm the youngest of five siblings. Coming up as a youngster in the hood I was fascinated with the game and it's character. I came from a good family having both of my parents to raise me. It was the American dream, my 64 chevy, and my fascination about the game that pulled me in. I took the game by a storm to become a major player in the game. I had some bad hands dealt to me but by the grace of God, my family, the Hank Lady and my street teachers like Shoe Strang I was able to leave the game at my highest stage. The reason I wrote "Paying the Piper His Dues" is because it's a unique story that needed to be told. I wanted to show everybody especially young kids coming up in the ghetto's or hoods to steer clear of hustling, because glitter and gleam ain't what it seems because the price to enter the game is too high to pay. I also wanted to show them you could make it even though you fall down. All you have to do is set your goals and go after them but the most important thing is to keep your faith in God. I tell my life story from beginning to end. Throughout the book I had to over come trails and tribulations one faces when they are raised in the hood. I went against the odds, paid the Piper some of his dues and made it. I consider myself as a legend because I was a normal young man who took what he was given and succeeded. Even though I was kicked out of high school, stigmatized, went to jail and was a major player in the game I still was able to finish college and leave the game to become legit.
