Lisa M. Prysock lives in rural Kentucky with her husband of 18 years. They have five children, two dogs, one cat, and a very long to-do list. Lisa grew up in Minnesota and the Ohio Valley. She fell in love with writing and books at an early age, winning a few literary awards for a short story and poetry in 8th grade. She purchased a typewriter with her first babysitting earnings and began plunking out stories before learning to type. She also enjoys art and sometimes includes her own illustrations in her books. She loves to workout, swim, take walks, and play badminton and volleyball. She enjoys sewing, cross stitch, crochet, scrapbooking, and doing arts and crafts. Lisa can often be found helping out at church, gardening, or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen-- that is, when she is not writing. She loves horses, singing, dancing, cats, hats, history, chocolate, flip flops, butterflies, flowers, sunsets, doll houses, everything old-fashioned, coffee... and being with family. Her favorite thing to do is share her faith in Christ through writing. A few of her favorite authors include Lucy Maude Montgomery, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Judy Blume, Margaret Mitchell, Karen Kingsbury, T. Davis Bunn, Janette Oke, Tracie Peterson, K. Morgan, and of course... Jane Austen! She is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) and Louisville Christian Writers.
