Persuading Mr. Preck: And Other Short Collections (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781985758711)

Donovan Riker is a formerly-famous architect who gets one last chance to perm his brilliance in the world by designing a beautiful Mosque in the heart of New York City. During his last Hail-Mary, Donovan's building collapses, ensuing in legal repercussions towards Riker's Estate from investors. His son, Dylan, who eagerly follows in his father's footsteps, finds himself at the center of a legal battle when Donovan dies unexpectedly. With the courts aiming after every last penny Dylan has, his only hope is his father's old partner, an odd and deranged man named Alfred J. Preck, who now resides in a mental facility. Dylan is now faced with the task of trying to get Preck to help him build a new mosque and save his family's legacy. However, it's a long and doubtful road - especially when your livelihood depends on an immature man with the concentration of a street pigeon. This is "Persuading Mr. Preck."
