Philly Girl: Top 40 Women Who Have Changed the World (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798999704115)

There's just something about a Philly girl.

She's got heart. She's got BIG dreams. She's got grit, determination, creativity ... and let's call it "Philly-tude."

Author Ranee Alison researched Philadelphia women from the 1700's to today, to create her Top 40 list of women who have changed our world.

The women recognized in the book have varied professions in the fields of Entertainment, Justice, Healthcare, Philanthropy and Sports. Some were trailblazers, some protect humanity and mother earth, and others depict women's role in History. From Philly's Rosa Parks to Taylor Swift, Philly Girls have been contributing to the greater good for centuries--often without the deserved recognition or remembrance.

Philly Girl is a compilation of women's achievements through the centuries and a timely reminder that women are still fighting for the same issues today: social justice, equality, proper healthcare, respect for all, and the protection of Mother Nature. Philadelphia was the birthplace of America. It was the heart of the American Revolution and here we are 250 years later in much need of another revolution.

The easy-read book is the perfect inspirational gift for Philly Girls of all ages. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Some people are going to leave a mark on this world, while others will leave a stain."
