Pig-Skinned... (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781450571739)

Vaughn Mitchell is a superstar football player from the University of Alabama. A hate crime divides the locker room. Bitter ex-teammates are out for blood. A White Owl, a Cyclops, and a voodoo vigilante wielding a blunderbuss provide the backdrop allegory to this thriller about race. Unity and fellowship through the joy of college football overide old enemies, as Vaughn recounts his family history, starting with his first ancestor who was sold into slavery in Angola after an inner tribal dispute over the significance of his birthmark results in his being banished. Don't miss this important book for all sports fans. Pig-skinned reads like a journal found on the dirty locker room floor of American history.
