Luke Allan studied Literature & Creative Writing at UEA. Before joining Carcanet in 2015 he worked as a project manager in the Arts in Newcastle and Edinburgh, and managed Studio Alec Finlay and the poetry press Morning Star. Among his many publications are several collections of poems and a novel, The Colonist (1981), about a boy's childhood in Mexico.
