ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ms. Crystal A. Davis is a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, Poet/Writer/Motivational Speaker, and published author of her first book entitled, Poetic Counseling "Unraveling the Devastating Effects of Sexual Molestation, Obesity, Undiagnosed Mental Illnesses, and Low Self-Esteem". Ms. Davis is a student of Christian Counseling; she's a trained 211 crisis prevention hot-line counselor for Trident United Way. She's a writer and a collaborator for the Berkeley Cheer; a newsletter that focuses the attention on rising awareness on Mental Health, and deflating the stigma associated with mental illness. She's a Client Advisory Board Member for the Berkeley Community Mental Health Center. Ms. Davis is currently a student working on her B.S in Psychology from Columbia Southern University (CSU), a degree in Child Psychology from PennFoster; her first steps towards her goal of achieving her Masters of Arts in Human Services Counseling (M.A.) Crisis Response and Trauma Cognate from Liberty University.
