Born in 1963, Mark Riordan's passion for poetry has been with him ever since. Being able to be given a topic, and then create a rhyming poem in verse has always been my gift. My first book of poems was published in 1983 by Arthur H. Stockwell Ltd., Elms Court, Ilfracombe, Devon, Great Britain, titled "The Collective Thoughts of B.J.P. Burnsyde" this poetry book had minimal sales but was my introduction into the commercial world of poetry. The present poet in me has an e-poetry book of 20 poems dedicated to hospitality which has been my profession since 1983. On my website hospo1.com.au it is titled "A Journey Through Hospitality by B.J.P. Burnsyde", and can be downloaded for $20. Also, I am compiling an inspirational collection of assorted poems titled "Poems of Distinction by B.J.P. Burnsyde". These 3 poetry books will propel me into the poetry world in 2014. Also, I am the resident poet at the Department of Child Safety, Stones Corner, this being my place of employment for 8 years now. I have contributed to the office culture by contributing poems on special occasions. Also, I am a member of an online site called fanstory.com which is dedicated to poetry, and I have several of my poems listed with a lot of favourable reviews by other members.
