Author Ericka Hatcher has accepted her calling as a writer when she wrote her first writing assignment in Elementary school. From her first poem "Duke Ellington," she has continued writing poetry, along with short stories, throughout her life and self-published her first poetry book "Let Me Take You On A Journey: An Accumulation of Poems" (2006) manually (binding, designing, and typing)! Although she only made 25 copies, this Cleveland, OH. native never stopped giving up on her dream and continues to challenge herself to grow as a writer. An avid reader of many genres (the library is her 2nd home), she aspires to explore many avenues of writing as like her all time favorite author Sidney Sheldon and many others. She resides in Orlando, FL. consistently writing her poems and working on her biggest challenge yet...a novel.
