Authored by two architects, this book tells a story of buildings that were built in Poland between 1980-2020, as architecture developed in the Western world and Japan. Its main focus is public utility buildings which the authors "have touched" in situ, and which have moved them or sparked their interest.
Nina Juzwa is an author, editor, and full professor, architect. She has written numerous books and articles on architecture, for which she has received many awards. She has worked with various offices and universities in Poland, Germany, and France. She was Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Silesian University of Technology (1999-2005).
Jakub Świerzawski is an author and PhD architect worked in Poland with local and international offices. His thesis, supervised by Prof. Nina Juzwa and Prof. Jan Salm, was awarded by the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development of the Polish Republic. Since 2019, he has been Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Applied Arts at the Academy of Silesia in Poland.
