In Postcairds Fae Woodwick Mill, Fife goes to Orkney, and comes back again, and the meeting of people and places is a rich and moving exchange. Wullie Hershaw has redd up a braw feast for his readers. Legend, ballad, folklore and song - the roots of our literature - are everywhere. Ghostly hares and grey men move across the pages; God and gods, witches and saints, otters and dominies populate the maze.
Beware: it may be longer than you imagine before you re-emerge.
