In time he accepted a second career appointment to the ministry of the United Methodist Church and spent nine years as Pastor of Sharon United Methodist Church in Decatur, Illinois. Now, he and Bette, his wife of 53 years, live in retirement in Plano, Texas. The material for this book is the compilation of many experiences. The key note is that of faith. Tom has concluded that for one to have success with God, there must be a living faith. That is 1) a knowledge of the will of God. 2) A repentance from sin and dead works. And 3) A petition specifically detailing what is needed.
