Bob Verdun has 50 years of experience as a journalist, editor, and public-interest advocate. That was presented in 1991 for the work done by Verdun's flagship newspaper, the Elmira Independent, comprehensively exposing the corporate activity behind industrial pollution that permanently contaminated the public water supply for the community of Elmira, Ontario. When he semi-retired from the media business, Verdun invested in a condo-hotel in Toronto called One King West. Recognizing his depth of experience, his fellow owners elected him to the founding board of directors with the highest number of votes, and he became the first president. Of necessity, he became an expert in condo-hotels, and served a total of nine years (three full terms) as a director of the condominium board that created a successful hotel business for its owner-investors - only a block away from the Trump disaster.
