Bill Miranda is president of the Bill Miranda Leadership Center and CEO of the Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce. He is host of the radio program, Querer es Poder: Where There's a Will There's a Way. He is a member of the College of the Canyons Chancellor's Circle and on the advisory board of Single Mothers Outreach of Santa Clarita. Bill is a business consultant, coach, and entrepreneur. He is a former counselor with the Small Business Development Center, where he counseled hundreds of businesses to start, grow, and succeed. As a motivational speaker and trainer he has taught leadership skills to thousands throughout the world including Europe, Asia and Australia. Bill grew up the son of Puerto Rican parents in New York City. He attended P.S. 192 and Stitt Junior High School before going off to Bordentown Military Institute. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Bill completed his education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and West Coast University where he earned a Master of Science in Management Systems. He went on to work as a successful salesman for IBM; a successful manager and trainer for Xerox; a successful executive for another Fortune 500 company, Data General Corporation; and a successful executive for a small, but very important technology company, Computer Identics. Bill left the corporate world to follow his entrepreneurial dream and started ScanMex, S.A. de C.V., a barcode systems company in Mexico City. He and his team built the company into Mexico's number one barcode systems company. After selling the company, Bill created Bill Miranda Consulting, a consulting company focused on marketing and sales. That company has evolved into the Bill Miranda Leadership Center, which is focused on building leadership skills especially among the Latino community. Bill is a very strong advocate of Latino causes and offers himself graciously in support of them. He is married to Virginia with whom he recently celebrated their 39th year. They reside in Santa Clarita, CA. They have three daughters and six grandchildren.
