I began writing weekly blog posts in February 2021, a time when seemingly most conversations seemed to be centered around divisive issues. Political and pandemic- related opinions came up in almost every exchange. I felt a deep need to refocus my thoughts and began sensing the same desire from others. Thus, I began to write. This book is a collection of those writings with stand-alone sections organized in no particular categorical or chronological order. I simply expressed what was on my mind. Each time I began writing, I felt inspired and was often directed to a particular Scripture passage.

Before writing, I did set some guidelines for myself: I would not use political rhetoric or divisive comments. I would use a positive tone to write down my thoughts based on true experiences from my life. And finally, each writing would include a moral, lesson, or guideline from scripture while weaving in a thread of humor.

Since each writing stands on its own, I suggest that you read one at a time. Reflect on it, perhaps discuss it, and a day or two or week later move to the next one. I truly hope you enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
