Prophets in the Bible: God's Messengers From Genesis to Revelation (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798275447965)

From the Garden of Eden to the early church, this book takes children on a gentle journey through the whole Bible, meeting God's messengers along the way. Written in simple story language for ages 5 to 12, each chapter introduces one prophet or prophetic figure and shows how God spoke, how people responded, and how every story points toward Jesus.

Children will meet the earliest prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Joseph, then travel with Moses and the wilderness prophets, the brave leaders of the time of the Judges, and the singers and seers of the United Kingdom under Saul, David, and Solomon. They will see how God kept speaking in the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah, through fiery voices like Elijah and tender ones like Isaiah, even when kings and crowds did not want to listen.

The journey continues through the Assyrian and Babylonian crises, where Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others hold on to God in very dark days, and into the hopeful time of return from exile with Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Finally, children arrive in the New Testament, meeting Zacharias and Elizabeth, Simeon and Anna, John the Baptist, the early church prophets, and Jesus Himself, the greatest Prophet and Savior.

Each story is:

• Short, warm, and easy to read aloud
• Honest about hard times, yet always focused on God's faithfulness
• Written to help children see that God still listens, loves, and keeps His promises

Perfect for:

• Family devotions and bedtime reading
• Sunday school and children's church
• Christian schools and homeschool Bible time

Prophets in the Bible helps children understand that God has always spoken to His people, that He sent Jesus as the final and greatest message of His love, and that they too can listen to Him today through His Word.
