I was born the first of five children to Peter and Carmen Kelly on June 22, 1961 in Brooklyn, NYC. I attended Catholic school for the first three grades then continued my education in the public school system. I graduated from John Jay HS in June 1979. I started studies at Hunter College in the following Fall. Soon my schizophrenia began showing and I dropped out and drifted from job to job until I got diagnosed and on disability in 1984. I started writing in St. Vincent's Hospital and have not stopped since.
