Rebecca's parents had kept that part from her. She was told there was a very good chance that she would fall in a deep sleep and everyone like Jack would think she was dead. Then she would go through the conversion and wake up as a Pureblood vampire.

Everything changed after she went through conversion. Jack thought the love of his life was dead and wasn't worth living without Rebecca. Life for Jack and his roommate Tommy changed forever when they found out Rebecca was now a vampire. Their lives were now in danger because the Pureblood council found out that two humans knew about the Pureblood vampire race.
