Upon which my doctor stated, "well, the next time I see you, you'll be a mistress, but not a head mistress, just a mistress, as opposed to a master. The conversation played around the corners of my mind, & when I decided to try to put the collection into book form, the title "Pursuing the Mistress" seemed appropriate.
