He has also recently authored and illustrated The New Zealand Night Sky. Alistair writes, illustrates and designs graphics for his own company; Shoreline Creative, while living in a little mountainside village near Nelson. For the last twenty years, Maria Gill has visited schools throughout New Zealand sharing her 60+ books with children. In 2020, Storylines awarded Maria the Margaret Mahy Medal for services to children's literature.
