Quivori: Don't Look Down (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781066971909)

You're falling. A cloud rushes past your nose. Then a rock. Then a very surprised bird.

Welcome to Quivori.

Here, forests float in the sky, cities hang upside down and waterfalls flow upwards. Falling beside you is Mavzi, a small orange creature with enormous eyes and two extremely tiny wings. He would very much like you to do something.

What happens next is up to you.

Will you grab Mavzi, aim for the floating forest or try to reach the upside-down city? That first decision is only the beginning. In QUIVORI: Don't Look Down, you choose which paths to follow, which risks to take and how to respond when things get wonderfully strange.

This illustrated fantasy adventure puts the reader inside the story. Read each choice, follow the chapter number and discover where your decisions lead. Different routes bring different encounters, surprises and consequences, with six endings waiting to be discovered. Finish one adventure, then return to try a choice you left behind.

Look closely at the pictures along the way. Hidden clues offer an extra mystery for curious readers, with a secret to uncover for those who piece them together. The picture puzzle adds another reason to explore, while the main adventure can still be enjoyed without solving it.

At the heart of the story is your growing friendship with Mavzi: an orange, snack-loving companion whose tiny wings are much less useful than he would like. Together, you face the unexpected in a world where courage does not mean never being frightened, and a little curiosity can take you somewhere extraordinary.

Colourful illustrations, humorous dialogue and clear chapter-number choices make QUIVORI an invitation to take part. Read together, take turns choosing and talk about what might happen next. Confident independent readers can explore their own routes and return to discover the alternatives.

Written for ages 6-10, QUIVORI: Don't Look Down is Book One in the QUIVORI series by Gary Alker. It offers a complete first adventure, multiple outcomes and a world of possibilities to revisit.

Can you find a way home-or will Quivori have other plans?
