Quivori: Don't Turn Around (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781066971916)

A tiny door. A very big mystery. Your next adventure starts here.

Step back into Quivori, a world of floating cities, upside-down gardens and surprises waiting around every corner. A tiny courier called Tib needs your help. A strange wooden door has arrived. And something is learning to copy you.

It can copy a voice. It can copy a movement. So how do you know who to trust?

Luckily, you have Mavzi: your orange, furry, snack-loving friend with two extremely tiny wings. Together with Tib, you must find a way through a world where opening the wrong door can lead to a very different adventure.

Will you brave a noisy market, explore an upside-down garden or step into a most unusual lift? Will you investigate a mystery, help someone in trouble or try a clever trick? In QUIVORI: Don't Turn Around, you choose what happens next.

This illustrated fantasy adventure puts the reader at the heart of the story. Read each choice, follow the chapter number and discover where your decisions lead. Different paths bring new encounters, problems to solve and consequences to consider. Six different endings await, giving you a reason to return and try the choices you left behind.

Look closely at the pictures, too. Six starred shapes hide an extra puzzle for curious explorers. There are hints if you need them, and you can still enjoy the main adventure without solving the picture mystery. No dice or scores are needed: just a little curiosity and a willingness to see what lies through the next door.

Along the way, humour and moments of suspense turn questions about friendship, trust and keeping promises into choices you can make. A familiar voice may be reassuring-but watching what someone does could matter much more.

Returning readers can choose a beginning that follows the ending they reached in Book One. New readers have a clearly marked starting point, so they can join the adventure too.

Written for ages 6-10, QUIVORI: Don't Turn Around is Book Two in Gary Alker's QUIVORI series. Colourful illustrations and chapter-number choices invite families to read together, take turns deciding and compare the paths they discover. Confident independent readers can explore at their own pace and return for another adventure.

A little door is waiting. What will you do?
