She was a Coordinator of a Group Support for Mothers of Survivors from Child Sexual abuse with place at St. Luke's UMC. She was the founder and coordinator of Latino-Hispanic Connections Referral and Resources. She was the Director of a L. C. Committee for kidney transplant of a child. She was volunteering at the Mexican Consulate, and Chaucie's Place (Prevention of child sexual abuse and youth suicide through education), in Indiana. She has also been a foster parent. She believes in miracles and in the power of the Faith.
