The U.S. Constitution has been abandoned, resulting in confusing/complicated federal government activity. The difficulty started through misinterpretation of the written document. Other fixes to the troubling current situation include: procedural changes to confirming constitutionality of proposed congressional law, term limits for congressional members, elimination of the federal income tax, assumption of the states for local/personal needs per the tenth amendment.
