Dr Isabel Bertran-Hunsinger is a Cuban-American now living on the North Island of New Zealand. She moved there from the USA to offer her family a different way of life, and yes, she has gotten that: her girls even have that gorgeous Kiwi accent! She loves to do anything that keeps her fitness going, including biking, walking, trekking and training at the gym. Isabel and her husband Michael have been in love (yes - marriage!) for 33 years, and are excited about reaching 100 years young together. In 1991 Isabel qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Colorado Medical School, and in 1995 she completed her residency with the Southern Colorado Family Practice. Isabel became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice in 2005, and is a Member of the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr Isabel believes that you are your own best doctor - you just need a health coach to guide you.
