Max Harris is Executive Director of the Wisconsin Humanities Council at the Universityof Wisconsin-Madison. He is the author of four books, Theatre and Incarnation (St.Martin's Press, 1990), The Dialogical Theatre (St. Martin's Press, 1993), Aztecs, Moors, and Christians: Festivals of Reconquest in Mexico and Spain (University ofTexas Press, 2000), and Carnival and Other Christian Festivals (University of TexasPress, forthcoming).
