Reflections in Alexandria

She came to study the past.

She did not expect to step inside it.

In the quiet halls of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a visiting scholar moves with careful attention among ancient artifacts-observing, recording, interpreting. When she pauses before a small Ptolemaic mosaic, something shifts. The stillness fractures. The familiar dissolves.

And she is no longer in the present.

She awakens in ancient Alexandria-not as a place preserved behind glass, but as a living city of heat, sound, and movement. The harbor surges with trade. Languages collide in the streets. Power, knowledge, and survival shape every encounter.

Alone and unprepared, she must navigate a world she has only ever known through fragments and texts. But the deeper she moves into this unfamiliar reality, the more unstable her understanding becomes. The line between observer and participant begins to blur.

And the mosaic-the silent image that first drew her in-may hold a meaning far beyond anything she imagined.

Reflections in Alexandria is an atmospheric and thought-provoking novel about history, perception, and the fragile boundary between seeing and being.

Perfect for readers who enjoy immersive historical fiction with a literary edge, and stories where the past is not only remembered-but experienced.
