Reflections Of Life (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798678847898)

Reflections of Life is a collection of poetry gleaned from my own personal life experience. Although some of these poems are metaphorical in nature, most of them are quite literal and are based on actual events faced by yours truly. Naturally, the spirit of some of these poems are quite fanciful but are nonetheless founded on something that really happened to me or happened around me during the course of my long life. During that life, I faced growing up pains, dating (with its many and varied complexities), marriage (with all its trials and tribulations), war (as a combat aviator flying troop transport helicopters in Vietnam, well those complexities were far too vast to sum up in a few simple words), divorce (if you've never been divorced, there is just no way to describe those emotions, although having been divorced myself, I have given it a pretty good shot in some of my poems), more dating (with more complexities, and not always ending in success, I might add), remarriage, with a blended family to boot (with more trials and tribulations, although my second marriage was immensely more successful than my first), political upheaval, natural disaster, many, many problems with the children, making and breaking friendships, the difficulty of working for a living whilst trying to negotiate a successful marriage with children, along with many of the other natural pitfalls of life that everyone must encounter along that bumpy path. Anyway, surely you get the picture, and I just want to say that I tried to express my feelings, regardless of the implications, and impressions of as many of these events as possible through the medium of pen and paper. Therefore, you must be the judge as to how successfully I have managed to capture those varied emotions through the technique of poetry.
