Susan M. Shaw is director of the School of Language, Culture, & Society and professor of Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Oregon State University. A native of Georgia, she received a PhD from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is the author of God Speaks to Us, Too: Southern Baptist Women on Church, Home, and Society and Storytelling in Religious Education and co-author of Girls Rock! Fifty Years of Women Making Music and Women's Voices, Feminist Visions: Classic and Contemporary Readings. She is an ordained Baptist minister and a member of a United Church of Christ congregation.
