Reporting to Incompetence: How to Navigate Your Workday When the Inmates are Running the Asylum (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798307720684)

Bad bosses are not just frustrating; they can derail careers, damage morale, and turn ordinary workdays into exercises in patience.

In Reporting to Incompetence, Darin R. Molnar, PhD, offers a sharp, practical, and often funny survival guide for employees working under ineffective, overwhelmed, or unqualified managers. Drawing on the Peter Principle and decades of workplace experience, Molnar explains why incompetent bosses rise, why organizations often protect them, and how employees can stay grounded when leadership fails.

This book helps readers manage up, build workplace alliances, document decisions, set boundaries, avoid burnout, and recognize when it may be time to stay, lead from where they are, or make a graceful exit.

For anyone who has ever wondered how bad bosses happen to good people, Reporting to Incompetence offers clarity, strategy, and reassurance:

You are not alone, and you are not powerless.
