The Author: Pushpa Naidu Parekh is Assistant Professor of English at Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia. A United States citizen born in India, she received her M.A. from the University of Madras, her M.Phil. from Panjab University, and her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. Her publications include creative writing and chapters and articles on Indian postcolonial and comparative literature, and a forthcoming reference volume Postcolonial African Writers.
