This book contains poetry attributed to Omar Khayyaam (1048-1131), a popular Iranian poet whose philosophies provoke strong reactions from those who agree or disagree with his ideas. Khayyaamism is a particular worldview that challenges established religious beliefs and practices that are contrary to reason. These short poetic expressions promote the enjoyment of living in the moment and present death as both a natural part of life and the ultimate equalizer of the rich and the poor.

The collection of poems presented in this book dare the readers to take a more critical view of the issues and values that continue to be discovered by each new generation and debated in our world. Along with each poem, there are conversation starters and questions that invite the reader to dig deeper into the exposed concepts.
