Jiang Sun (PhD, University of Tokyo) is Distinguished Professor of History and Political Science at Nanjing University. His recent research interests include conceptual history of East Asia and historical memories. He is the author of The Revolution and Secret Societies in Modern China: A Social History of the Chinese Revolution 1895-1955 (2007), Religion, Society and Power in Modern China (2012), and Religion as the Other: Politics and Religions in Modern China (2018) as well as other works.
