This illustrative case study presents a meticulously documented account by Dr. Leonard Bright, who courageously confronted the challenges he faced during the tenure and promotion process at Texas A&M University.

Step behind the scenes to witness the games often played, sometimes against unsuspecting professors, again and again. Through this compelling first-person narrative, Dr. Bright exposes the complex and often hidden dynamics of academic advancement, revealing critical flaws in performance management, evaluation, and human resource management literature that are rarely acknowledged by insiders and largely invisible to outsiders. Now you can see them too.

RIG 'EM provides clear, documented evidence of how subjective evaluations, bias, inconsistency, and leadership failures can compromise the integrity of the promotion process. Unlike most academic works on tenure and promotion, RIG 'EM includes Dr. Bright's actual performance-related documents and records, offering readers an authentic, transparent view of academic advancement in practice. Inside, you'll find:

• Annual review documents
• Post-tenure review reports
